To celebrate this transition to the New Year … and the 2nd quarter, the students offered a nice show to their parents, the result of their progress and learning since the beginning of the school year.

In this first trimester of 2018, Montessori children, as well as elementary and middle school students, took part in many creative workshops where drawing, painting and making of objects and even cooking were put in the spotlight. They feasted and made very nice works … for the pleasure of all!

Since 2013, the Trophées des Français de l’Etranger have been organized to promote and reward institutions, which are actively working in social, humanitarian, cultural … fields.
Thanks to their growing success, on December 6, 2018, in Singapore, will be the first edition of the Asian Trophies.
The EFB that is well established in the local life of Battambang since 2012, that is growing year after year and that has lots of wonderful projects, could not miss this great opportunity to present the work of its team of children.
And today, we are proud to share a first victory:  the French School of Battambang, recognized for the quality of its teaching, is among the 5 finalists of these prestigious Trophies.

It’s official, in 2019, EFB will leave the Ptea Teuk Dong precinct to move into its new premises, larger, more comfortable and closer to the city center (1.6 km from Psar Nat)!
It is therefore in an ideal environment, closed and green, that the French School of Battambang will be able to accommodate its 2 classes of Montessori kindergartens as well as 30 to 50 pupils of primary and secondary school.
Children will also enjoy a beautiful library / media library, dedicated language and music rooms, a large canteen and a private sports court.
Architects are working on the project … to be discovered very soon!

All the children of Battambang love their city. They appreciate the green countryside but also its atmosphere and the wealth of what can be found at the turn of its streets.
However, not everyone is used to browsing their environment, taking the time to observe and understand it.

So it is armed with notebooks, sketchbooks, pencils, cameras and audio / video recorders that our valiant elementary and junior students from the French School of Battambang went to explore our beautiful city, visiting the monuments and key places, walking the streets to decipher the diversity of landscapes and habitats.

They made it a beautiful visual and sound exhibition that the parents had great pleasure to discover, amazed by what the children saw there and the way they look at their environment …

In September, the French School of Battambang had the pleasure to open its doors to 41 students! The EFB now hosts 24 children in Montessori class (3-6 years) and 17 students in elementary and middle school.

To support these young students, the school provided each class with a teacher and an assistant (specialized in FLE), and even two assistants for the Montessori class.
Two English and Khmer teachers also intervene almost daily to further enrich general education.

It is therefore under the best auspices that opens this new year which will also be that of the organizational and even educational transition since the school already aims to open a second Montessori class from the beginning of the 2019 school year and to develop new options, always more favorable to the quality of the education that is provided there.
